De Lage Landen (DLL) is a subsidiary of Rabobank. The company is strongly expanding and is about to deploy a new office building in Düsseldorf in Germany. The move to a new office building will be more than just a location change. The ambition is to innovate workstyle at DLL during the next few years by means of a programme called Blue Works. In order to benchmark the concept of Blue Works, DLL participates in a New World of Work project with the final Master class of the Consulting spezicialiation within the International Business and Export Management study programme at IMC University of Applied Sciences Krems. The part time students of this programme set up three consulting teams (companies) which participate in a simulated Beauty Contest. The objective is to win a (virtual) consulting project with DLL by proposing a New World of Work transformation approach to DLL. So the students will develop transformation framework, consulting tools (like workstyle analysis) to be applied and project plan which describes the way forward during the next 3 to 5 years of the New World of Work Transformation at DLL. The learning process is supported by external consultants of the consulting company HMP Beratungs GmbH (http://www.hmp-consulting.com/unternehmen/).

Team lead Marius Chirca: “The project on the topic concerning ‚the new world of work‘ at the IMC Krems is a great opportunity to participate in this new trend of global mobility and fexible working. The strong cooperation with a major player in the German banking sector additionally highlights the importance and relevance of this initiative. Furthermore, the design and implementation of project management tools for the change in leadership styles and working enviroments for an actual change management project proves the University’s commitment and collaboration with outstanding business enterprises.”
Consulting Team: The Game Changers
Petr Hlousek, Jana Lukic, Bianca Möslinger, Bukurije Niessler, Easter Ouma, Martina Pernull, Alexandra Wulz
Team Lead Jana Lukic: "The introduction into the course and the given project was an incredibly pleasant surprise. There is a consensus among the team members that this is, potentially, one of the best learning experiences that we have faced so far. We are very enthusiastic about the opportunity to participate in a real case study, and assume the role of the consultants, as it gives us a chance to practice our knowledge, but more importantly, show our creative side of the problem solving process. Working with a known "client" on a very complex and novel issue, certainly represents a challenge as the level of responsibility is naturally high. Nevertheless, this competitive environment carries an intensive fun factor that we are impatiently looking forward to. "
Consulting Team: FlexAbility Consulting
Niklas Haslinger, Maximilian Gierlinger, Clemens Kiegerl, Bianca Kollmayer. Matthias Nabegger, Jonathan Stiglitz, Martin Thor
Team Lead Niklas Haslinger: “This project is another great example of the university of applied sciences‘ close ties with internationally operating enterprises, which represents an essential part of our hands-on oriented, academic education. Especially the project’s content, "new world of work", being one of the most current and up-to-date topics being discussed in applied economics, makes it a pleasure to give one’s best for the team and for the result. Applying the knowledge obtained from lectures in real life projects, assisted by consulting professionals, gives us a great piece of experience for our careers.”
On DLL side the project is managed by Juliane Hüppe (HR) and Diana Kön (Project Management) of DLL headquarters in Düsseldorf.
